Service Description
Between Friends is dedicated to preventing domestic violence and ending the cycle of abuse by equipping our communities with the tools necessary for everyone to feel safe and equal in their relationships. Between Friends provides a safe and supportive environment for individuals and families in crisis. Our counselors empower clients to make their own decisions and choices, rather than making choices for them. Between Friends helps adult, teen, and child survivors of domestic violence to recognize that their experience is shared.

We offer supportive counseling sessions in which we listen to your experiences — and the choices that you are making or have made — without judgment. Our programs use an evidence-based approach that helps teen, child and adult survivors of domestic violence find safety and healing through talk, art, mindfulness, and support. We also help filing orders of protection and make connections with external resources to secure housing, job placement, child care, and other identified needs you may have, through our established partnerships with other social service providers. We are located in Rogers Park, and keep our address confidential.
