PFLAG provides support, advocacy & education to members of the LGBTQ+ spectrum, their families, allies & community. PFLAG promotes the health and well-being of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender persons, their families and friends through: support, to cope with an adverse society; education, to enlighten an ill-informed public; and advocacy, to end discrimination and to secure equal civil rights. PFLAG provides opportunity for dialogue about sexual orientation and gender identity, and acts to create a society that is healthy and respectful of human diversity. PFLAG provides support groups for trans and LGBTQ individuals to discuss their successes and struggles amongst trans and LGBTQ peer facilitators & attendees. These meetings will be facilitated to remain an affirming and relevant safe space where trans and LGBTQ people can feel welcome & seen.
