Caring for Caregivers NYC

Caring for Caregivers NYC

Caring for Caregivers NYC
Can This Service Be Accessed Virtually / Remotely?:
Yes
Service Description:
Caring For Caregivers (CFC) was launched to provide psychotherapy for frontline physicians fighting COVID-19 in NYC hospitals. Between the emotional burden and the physical toll, frontline physicians are experiencing a mental health crisis. Studies continually demonstrate that early intervention utilizing psychotherapy and medication can treat emotional distress and prevent long term consequences associated with trauma.

We have recruited highly experienced therapists and psychiatrists who provide up to three months of complimentary individual therapy via telehealth medicine. To accommodate busy and shifting schedules, our clinicians offer flexible hours including evenings and weekends.

Our services include individual therapy (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic Therapy), Psychiatric Medication Treatment, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and Genetic Testing for individualized medication treatment (Genomind). Dr. Plutchik and Dr. Strongin carefully recruit each clinician. They thoughtfully match every client with the appropriate provider, as they understand the importance of finding the right fit for a successful outcome in therapy. CFC strongly believes that we all need support during these unprecedented times and the ones who often need care the most are the ones providing it. If you are a physician treating COVID-19 patients in NYC and would like complimentary treatment please email: [email protected] or [email protected]
