What is your current role at Therapy4thePeople?
As the Director of Technology, I’m finding different ways to make an impact on our mission through tech. A fun project we are working on is using research and data to guide our website redevelopment and provide more empowering and impactful features. It’s the beginning phase and there’s a lot to do. I’m glad to work with such a thoughtful team.
What motivated you to join Therapy4thePeople?
I love to build and I love the impact of therapy. I also really enjoy learning about something that’s been done a certain way and try to rebuild it for the better. It’s empowering to work with everyone at Therapy4thePeople because we are trying to find a different way to solve a big issue without any playbook. And the work has unfathomable impact. To help one person feel more like themselves for one day is a more meaningful impact than a lot of tech companies achieve. Helping build the foundation of a tech non-profit is very meaningful to me.
What do you work on outside of our nonprofit?
I’m the Director of Engineering at Shift.com. I lead the Shopping and Growth engineering teams, which focus on marketing, browsing, search, content, etc. I’ve helped grow several start-ups and have worked with Fortune 100 companies to solve very difficult technical problems. I hope to help solve selling cars online at Shift while helping to grow the impact of Therapy4thePeople across the nation. One step at a time.
What are you most excited to work on?
Creating an easier search experience on our service platform!
