Service Description
BEW’s mission is to improve the quality of life of Chicago’s Westside residents by providing mental health, psychiatric services (for enrolled consumers), substance abuse, and developmental disability services as well as HIV/AIDs testing and resources for individuals facing housing insecurity. Services are provided for children and adolescents within a cultural context that is sensitive to the community. Service delivery is informed by input from consumers, stakeholders, and evidence-based interventions. BEW administers culturally competent programs to address the needs of all residents of the Westside communities of Garfield Park, Austin, North Lawndale and surrounding areas.
