Here’s a few ways you can get involved and support our work.
Help us grow
In March of 2020, a pandemic effectively shut down the United States, and shortly after, the murder of George Floyd sparked nationwide protests which highlighted centuries of injustice and oppression towards people of color. Rates of mental health concerns skyrocketed, and yet many were unable to find or afford quality, culturally sensitive mental health care.
We decided to develop a solution that would begin to equalize the playing field. That would provide a directory of free and affordable resources, all in the same place. That would make it easier to navigate the complex mental health system. That prioritized the needs of people of color and folks who are struggling financially.
In June of 2020, we came together to form Therapy4thePeople – a non-profit organization aimed at increasing the accessibility of mental health care in the US.
Because we all need support from time to time, and money shouldn’t get in the way.
We have big plans for our second year of operation and need your support to make them happen. Over the coming months we will incorporate and become an official tax-exempt nonprofit, establish our inaugural cohort of Regional Ambassadors, improve our website functionality, bring on new people to expand our governing board, source top talent for our junior board, and expand our outreach efforts to make sure our work reaches more help-seekers.
With your generous donation, you are helping us increase our impact and ensure the sustainability of our work for years to come. By making a donation today, you contribute to our mission and help reduce major barriers to accessing mental health care.
Thank you for your generosity!
