Service Description
Greenwich House offers programs in the arts, education and social services that provide thousands of New Yorkers with personal enrichment and cultural experiences. The Greenwich House Children’s Safety Project (CSP) started by providing counseling and other support services to children and families that have been affected by physical or sexual abuse, domestic violence, and other violent crimes. The scope of the program has since expanded to encompass other traumatic events and losses. Services are provided for children of all ages, adolescents, young adults and non-offending family members.

Services beyond individual, family, and group therapy include play therapy, parent support, art therapy, music therapy, and an annual group program called Healing Arts. CSP will also advocate on behalf of patients to ensure that children recover under conditions of safety and security by collaborating with the legal system, child protection system, foster care workers, schools and other provides, along with community and professional education to external groups.
