Henry Street Settlement’s mission is to open doors of opportunity for Lower East Side residents and other New Yorkers through social services, arts, and health care programs. The organization is distinguished by its commitment to listening to and learning from our neighbors—and then acting to meet the most pressing needs of their community.
Their Community Consultation Center’s (CCC) philosophical approach is that all human beings have the potential for growth and change. The goal is to help individuals regain control of their lives as quickly as possible in order to resume their personal and family lives. Services include the general outpatient mental health clinic as well as the Asian Bi-Cultural Unit. Patients can access a range of therapy offerings as well as 24 hour emergency phone coverage, case management, psychiatric evaluations, and health and psychosocial assessments.
