Service Description
La Cocina seeks to dismantle systems of oppression and co-create paths to liberation by providing full access to traditional and non-traditional forms of mental health and health equity support services. Our programs offer a safe space for adults, children and families to come together for key Spanish-language therapy services, including recovery from trauma, forensic assessments for immigrants in detention, individual and/or family therapy, parents coaching, structured therapy groups for parents and adolescents, directive and non-directive play therapy to promote safe and healthy childhood development, and Charlas that sustain community wellbeing. Services are provided free of service.
