Service Description
The Pilsen Wellness Center, Inc. actively seeks to provide holistic human services to individuals (ages 5+) and families through culturally sensitive education, prevention, treatment, and recovery interventions. Our Mental Health programs facilitate a process of healing for help-seekers and their families through an in-depth understanding of how levels of acculturation, socioeconomic factors, and the immigrant experience impact treatment.
Our Outpatient Mental Health & Wellness Programs, funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services, Division of Mental Health, serve children, adolescents, and adults diagnosed with a mental illness. Treatment services facilitate access to therapeutic and medical management for mental illnesses such as major depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, schizophrenia, post traumatic stress disorder, as well as those involving self-harm, anorexia, and bulimia. In addition to outpatient mental health services, the Drop-In center offers unifying community outings and activities with transportation and lunch available for all adult (18yrs+) community residents. Please call for more information and to sign up.
