Service Description
The River Valley Equality Center is a community organization committed to non-violent advocacy for the rights of all humans, with an emphasis on the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and other minority sexualities. RVEC is using a combination of visible action, education, and social support to change misinformed hatred and prejudice to acceptance and goodwill. Our Transgender Support Group is dedicated to those in our community who are transgendered and are looking to discuss their situation in the context of a group of friendly, like-minded people. The Support Group is open only to those who identify as transgendered and their immediate families. The group is open to those ages 18 and up, minors 13-18 may attend with an accompanying adult.
