Safe Horizon is the nation’s leading victim assistance organization, operating a network of programs across New York City communities and systems. SafeChat is a one-on-one chat session with a Safe Horizon client advocate trained in supporting those who have experienced violence, crime, and abuse in New York City. Advocates can talk to you about your situation, ask questions and help you explore your options. Advocates can also provide information and referrals, as well as help connect you to other Safe Horizon programs. The chat button is currently only available during Safe Horizon’s hours of operation.
