The Guidance Center (Western Arkansas Counseling & Guidance Center) is a non-profit community behavioral healthcare provider serving the communities of Crawford, Franklin, Logan, Polk, Sebastian and Scott counties in western Arkansas. As a licensed and accredited community health center, the Guidance Center provides a wide range of coordinated health care services to treat mental, emotional, behavioral and substance abuse disorders. Our unique mission is to provide a comprehensive network of quality behavioral healthcare services that are consumer sensitive, outcomes-oriented and cost-effective. To that end we offer treatment, prevention and education; provide services that are affordable, appropriate, timely, and accessible; exercise sound financial and business practices through effective stewardship of available and future resources; convey trust and instill confidence, and treat with dignity and respect the individuals we serve and enhance their quality of life. We offer crisis support, outpatient counseling for children, teens and adults, psychological testing, therapeutic day treatment programs for 7th through 12th graders, therapeutic foster care programs, and a Learning Enrichment and Appropriate Play (LEAP) program, a pre-school aged, child-centered program that focuses on behavioral concerns, peer interaction, and compliance within a structured classroom environment.
